Christmas in July this year is at the Hill End Lodge organised by VeeBee
Most people know Hill End but I've found a few recently that have never been so... Hill End is an old Gold Mining town with a lot of history to explore. There are fantastic back country twisty roads around and dirt if it takes your fancy. Plus it should be suitably chilli at night for a cosy Chrissy in July dinner. We're leaving at 9:30 to allow time for to explore the town which is well worth a look, but It's close enough to Sydney to make it a late start if you prefer (It's about 220km from Sydney, 240 with some extra twisties.).
The lodge are putting on a traditional Chrissy dinner with full on ham roast and turkey, chrstimas pudding and entree for $58/head. Continental Breaky is included, $10 for cooked or we can head into the General Store for a late breaky and strong brewed coffee.

Winter is coming … and so is our annual winter ride to Rylstone. Staying at the Globe Hotel, this is a club favourite.
Accommodation is fully booked. If you want to come but aren't booked in you'll need to find your own accommodation - but let me know if you're coming so I can book you in for dinner.

This year’s Easter ride is heading north to Urunga. Urunga is a nice quiet seaside town with a lovely pub, just south of Coffs. Staying there for two nights gives a base for nice big loops on twisty roads or lazing around, going for walks along the boardwalk to the ocean, or heading up to Bellingen. Lots of things to do.
On the Sunday we’ll head across to Coolah which gives us a number of short and long options for the ride home on Monday avoiding the worst of weekend Easter traffic.

The where to meet and the what time will be advised later, at the moment it really is a mystery. There will be twisty back roads both tar & dirt and there will be weather so bring a jumper / swimmers to cover all scenarios.

The wrong way round route. Doing some of our favourite back roads backwards.
Decided to try to do some of the roads we love in the opposite direction to what we usually do. The start point is Bathurst, so either book yourself accommodation for the Friday night or get up really early and join us on the Saturday morning.

With Australia Day falling on the Tuesday, taking the Monday off work gives us a nice 4 day weekend which allows us to get that extra distance. With it being a warm time of year the alps give a little altitude to ward off the heat. So we’ve chosen Omeo as the destination for the Saturday and Sunday nights, with the loaded dog as the Friday night starter. They are both booked.
Monday night is a tentative for Cootamundra. There’re a few interesting little roads that I’d like to do in that direction but I recognise that it might be hot so I’ll wait for a little feedback and I’m open to moving it to somewhere like Tumba, Talbingo or heading to the coast (and braving the end of school hols traffic).

A weekend ride to Hill End which will be suited to single cylinder bikes and skilled riders on multi cylinder adventure bikes.
The route will be mostly made up as we go along but will likely go from Zig Zag through Blackfellas along Turon Gates if the river isn’t too high and on to Sofala. Return will be via a similar route.
