CLUBMANS TOURERS - ONE DAY RIDE – 26 AUGUST 2023

Team, Deb and I have planned the second one-day ride for this year. The last one went well and had a nice vibe with a few new faces. This one is northside again simply because it’s the area of Sydney I know best.
The route is simple and well known with no dirt except for a few minor roadwork sections and it avoids freeways. It is a 7:30ish arrival for an 8am departure after the toolbox meeting at the 7 Eleven at Berowra again.

Dave has put his hand up to organise a day ride on Australia Day, for anyone who is unable to take the Friday 27th off.

It's been way too long since we've had an evening ride.  So come along and blow out some mid week work stresses on the bike combined with a resto night.  This one is to the Paradise Cafe at Lower Portland for dinner. They were flooded out earlier in the year so it's good to see them back open.  Wednesday is the only mid week day they're open and they serve pizza, steak, pasta, prawns etc overlooking the Hawkesbury River. It's open for ordering until 8pm but we best get there by 7:30 to make sure we have plenty of time to order and to enjoy dusk on the river.

Would  you know what to do if you were first on scene at a motorcycle accident, be it friend, club member or even just a stranger?  Come along to do this training course and get the knowledge that may well save a life, possibly your best friends life. We think this is so important that the Club will pay more than half the course cost for members who attend.

Its been a while so it must be time to give our trusty steeds some well deserved TLC, maybe its time to fit those new accessories, replace those brake pads or learn how to plug that tyre.  There is a well equipped garage available and plenty of expertise on hand to help with all those tasks that are always better to do in the company of fellow clubmen(women).

If your bike doesnt need any work just swing by and say hi, its always a nice social day, Lindsey and John will put on a sausage sizzle to fill hose lunchtime bellies.

I am putting together a ride to get to the Clubman Xmas Party at Wallerawang. It is so long since we had a decent day ride I am making this one a goody!

Based on the positive response from the forum post last month, Pheasants Wood Circuit have scheduled the track for a social ride day on Saturday 5 June

Mark Cole has asked me to let the club know that the Kangaroo Valley annual Rural Show is being held this year on the 15th of Feb, see his note below.  It's a good opportunity for a day ride and to support a community that has suffered bush fires.
