Now that Daylight Savings has arrived, let's do a combined  evening ride and resto night.

Date: 26th October (Thursday evening)

Time: 6:00pm for 6:30pm departure.

Meet Point: Loftus Oval car park (just before the Royal National Park entrance)

The Ride: A blat through the Royal National Park to Stanmore Tops... suck up some fresh air, enjoy the view and then mosey on through to a luffley resto either near the 'Gong or Helensburgh Thai (like last time).

Ok, ok I admit it, its the same ride as we did in April but because everyone had such a good time, Matt and I are going to do it again. For variety though, this time we are doing the loop the opposite way round.  

The basic loop is Southern Highlands to Taralga then to Shooters Hill and back to Mittagong via Wombeyan Caves road. The ride is almost entirely on the dirt.

Its called Thrashers Terrifying Trek but I am not sure why. It can't be that bad, Looney took "Big Red" out two years ago on a wet dirt road. Mike T and Yahoo turned up on road bikes in the dark!

Maybe it's terrifying because its a ride into the middle of no-where out the back of Wombeyan Caves where there is absolutely no wifi reception. Yeah that must be it - no Facebook. Terrifying for some I guess. 

Maybe its because it always seems to the coldest weekend of the year? Definitely bring your thermals and warm sleeping bag!
