Clubman Tourers

It's been way too long since we've had an evening ride.  So come along and blow out some mid week work stresses on the bike combined with a resto night.  This one is to the Paradise Cafe at Lower Portland for dinner. They were flooded out earlier in the year so it's good to see them back open.  Wednesday is the only mid week day they're open and they serve pizza, steak, pasta, prawns etc overlooking the Hawkesbury River. It's open for ordering until 8pm but we best get there by 7:30 to make sure we have plenty of time to order and to enjoy dusk on the river.

Meet: Maccas McGraths Hill at 9.00 for a 9.30 departure

The Karuah River Rally has been held for decades at a riverside campsite on the Karuah River near Dungog.  Its organised by the BMW club of NSW but any sort of bike (and rider) can go.

Key points:  Its camping and bring your own EVERYTHING!  Thats tent, food, beverages etc. Nearest supplies are available in Dungog. There is about 15k of dirt on the way in, good dirt.

Gulgong Overnighter

Meet at McGraths Hill 9.00 for 9.30 departure.

The route will be via the Putty Rd with the obligatory stop at the Half Way House.

Lunch at the pub in Denman before heading through the scenic Bylong Valley.

We’ll then head for Mudgee and take the backroad through to Gulgong for the night.

Accommodation is book your own at the Gulgong Motel (don’t forget your swimmers if hot).

There are various other locations in town if booked out, with everything being in walking distance.

The route home will be via Glen Davis and The Bells Line Road through to Bilpin with lots of leisurely stops.

Christmas Party Ride to Wallerawang

We are in the process of organising the Clubman Christmas gathering.  Ride up on Saturday 19th November, to eat drink and be merry and ride back Sunday 20th November.

We are heading to Wallerawang for accommodation and dinner at the Black and Gold Motel. Last year despite the wet weather we had a great time and it’s a great venue that is big enough to cope with our numbers.  Great country around the area with lots to see and do.

Clubman Tourers Awards Night - Friday Night 7th October

Come along to the Merton Hotel in Rozelle for our 2022 Awards Night.  Black tie not required this year, just an enthusiasm to come along, enjoy good company, great food, a drink or three and recognise some great club members.  

We have booked the upstairs section of the Merton which is the indoor/outdoor beer garden area. The food at the Merton is great and those attending can order as and when they wish through the evening.  Although given the serving sizes you will only be ordering once.

A long weekend of enjoying the roads of New England. Not only is Uralla the heart of Barnaby country, the home of the New England Brewing Company and the final resting place of the bush ranger Captain Thunderbolt, it's also a great spot to explore an area of NSW we don't often get to.

Its that time of year.  The bike club needs to have an Annual General Meeting. Financial reports and the selection/appointment of a new committee for the year to come happen at the AGM.

This year we are again going to do the meeting by Zoom to maximise the opportunities for members to participate.  So its at 7pm on Thursday 29th September.

We think this is so important that the Club will pay more than half the course cost for members who attend.
